The Lacoste Polo Shirt - Raiz Invest

Our Raiz Rewards partner Lacoste breakdown the the make and different fits of the well-known crocodile polo shirt. In the 1920’s, the long-sleeved white shirt was required to play tennis. As a result, it was the original outfit René Lacoste wore on tennis courts. The search for freedom of movement while playing tennis led René Lacoste to create the first polo by cutting the sleeves of his shirt.

Lacoste polo shirts are made from petit piqué fabric making them lightweight and moisture wicking suitable for summer days or active wear. Before Lacoste gave his approval, 12 prototypes were created to ensure they were perfect.

Each and every button is manually placed to ensure it is stitched in the right direction. Each collar is also checked by hand and any loose threads are manually removed.

The sleeves are also crafted in circles to ensure better movement for those wearing them. The crocodile is inspected and any embroidery threads are also removed manually.

We are not allowed, and have not prepared this information to offer financial product advice or a recommendation in relation to any investments or securities. If we did give you personal advice, which we did not, then the use of the Raiz App would be a lot more expensive than the current pricing – sorry but true. We know and ASIC research shows that you probably won’t, but we want you to, and we encourage you to read the PDS so you know exactly what the product does, its risks and costs. If you don’t read the PDS, it’s a bit like flying blind. Probably not a good idea.

The risks and fees for investing are fully set out in the PDS and include the risks that would ordinarily apply to investing. You should note, as illustrated by the global financial crisis of 2008, that sometimes  not even professionals in the financial services sector understand the ordinary risks of investing – because by their nature many risks are unknown – but you still need to give it a go and try to understand the risks set out in the PDS.
